Getting ready
Ten minutes before we knock
None of this is required. All of it makes the clean better, and most of it takes less time than finding the vacuum.
Before the visit
Five things, ten minutes
Clear a spot to park near the door
We carry gear and run hose from the vehicle, and nobody wants it behind a car that has to leave.
Run a quick vacuum if you can
We vacuum too. A pass from you first gets more dry soil out before anything gets wet, and the clean goes deeper.
Put pets somewhere safe
Doors get propped for hoses and the machine is loud. A closed room or a crate keeps everyone where they belong.
Pick up loose things from the floor
Toys, clothes, cables, and anything small and breakable on low furniture. If it's off the floor, it gets cleaned under.
Walk it with us when we arrive
Two minutes. You point out what matters, we point out anything already worn or damaged, and the price is confirmed before we start.
After we leave
What the first day looks like
The carpet stays damp for a few hours
Socks are fine right away. Damp feet slip on tile, vinyl and hardwood, so take it slow at every carpet edge and on stairs.
If protector or deodorizer went down, give it 45 minutes
People and pets both. Cats and dogs groom themselves, so what they walk through, they lick.
Carpet works like a filter
It traps what would otherwise be in the air, and like any filter it works until it's full. That's why the once-a-year clean is worth it.
Anything odd in the days after, a spot that reappears, a smell that lingers, call (708) 695-4655. If a spot comes back after we've cleaned, we come back and fix it. No charge, no argument.
