The spot guarantee
If a spot comes back after we've cleaned, we come back and fix it. No charge, no argument.
See sample comparisons for traffic soil, pet staining, upholstery, mattresses and stairs. Each is clearly marked until real Tuftwright job photos replace it.

Hardwood and tile aren't on the list this year. Carpet and upholstery are, and they're done right.
From $50 a room
Hot water extraction with a measured process: pre-spray, agitation, extraction and an acid rinse that brings the carpet back toward neutral without leaving sticky cleaner behind.
From $55 a piece
Sofas, sectionals, chairs and mattresses. We test the fiber and the color first, because a microfiber sofa and a linen one want completely different chemistry.
From $35 a spot
Urine is a salt that soaks into the backing, not a stain sitting on top. We find it, treat it with peroxide and enzymes, and tell you plainly if the pad is past saving.
$35 a room
Applied after the clean while the fiber is open, so the next spill sits on top long enough to blot. Optional, and we'll say when it isn't worth it.
Who turns up
I live in West Dundee, a few minutes from most of the houses I clean.
Tuftwright is intentionally small. I quote the work, walk it with you, choose the chemistry and do the cleaning. That keeps the person making the promise responsible for the result.
No call center, no subcontractor and no stranger at the door. You get my number and me.

How it's done
Cleaning lifts the soil, extraction removes it, and the acid rinse brings the carpet back toward neutral without sticky cleaner left behind.
Fiber check, a colorfast test somewhere hidden, and we point out anything already worn or damaged while you're standing next to us. Nothing gets discovered afterward.
The pre-spray goes down and sits for 10 to 15 minutes. That's where the cleaning actually happens. Rushing it is the most common shortcut in the trade.
Worked into the pile, then extracted with hot water. A dry pass for every wet one, which is what gets the water back out and the dry time down.
An acid rinse brings the carpet back toward neutral and removes cleaner that could otherwise attract soil. We test a damp patch before leaving and show you the reading.
Tabs and foam blocks under every leg until the carpet is dry. A metal leg on damp carpet leaves a rust ring, and a rust ring is permanent.
Questions
Right away in clean socks. Carpet is usually dry the same day, often within a few hours, and airflow helps. We make a dry pass after extraction to recover as much water as the carpet will give back.
What two hands can move safely: sofas, chairs, coffee tables, and everything goes back on tabs. Beds, pianos, china cabinets and anything with electronics on it stay put. Clear those surfaces and we'll clean underneath.
A spot that reappears a few days later is wicking: moisture and residue left in the backing. It comes from over-wetting and under-rinsing. If it happens after we clean, we come back and fix it at no charge.
Usually, and we'll be straight with you about when we can't. Urine changes the dye over months, so cleaning sometimes reveals damage rather than causing it. If it's through to the pad, surface cleaning won't fix the smell and we'll say so before taking your money.
Tell us when you call. Wool is a protein and anything alkaline browns it permanently, so it gets different chemistry and a look in person before a price. Same for anything antique or expensive.
The full price list is on the services page. Standard rooms are $50, five rooms are $225, and the visit minimum is $150. We confirm the scope and firm price during the walk-through before cleaning starts.
